Harmony Elementary School - Front Entrance

Harmony Elementary School, established in 2005, is located in Goshen, Kentucky in Oldham County. Goshen is a small suburban community just outside of Louisville, Kentucky. Harmony is one of ten elementary schools in the Oldham County school district and is located on the North Oldham Campus adjacent to North Oldham Middle School and North Oldham High School.

Harmony Elementary provides a comprehensive curriculum for students in Kindergarten through Fifth grade. The curriculum is built around Kentucky's Core Content Guidelines and provides a full range of services for students to support their learning needs. Students in kindergarten through grade five are offered an enriched academic program based on state and national curriculum standards. Instructional strategies include, but are not limited to, cooperative learning, small group and one-on-one instruction, using hands-on activities, and inquiry-based learning. Students participate in music, art, STEM, and physical education on a rotating schedule.

Harmony Elementary strives to live by its mission statement, “Ensuring high levels of learning for all." Harmony is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and has earned the honor of being named a “School of Distinction” in the state of Kentucky for our excellent student performance based on Unbridled Learning: College Career Readiness for All, which is Kentucky’s accountability system. 

Harmony received an Energy Star Award from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the US Department of Energy (DOE) honoring organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment. Harmony has also received a National PTA Award of Excellence for Parental Involvement in 2010 and a National PTA Award for Community Involvement in 2011.
