Meet Our Intervention Coordinator

CourtneyCurran2022

Hello Harmony families!  My name is Courtney Curran and I am the Intervention Coordinator, as well as an interventionist at Harmony.

After receiving my bachelors degree at the University of Kentucky, and then my masters at the University of Louisville, I joined Harmony in 2008 where I have worked in a variety of roles over the past 15 years. I spent the first seven years of my career teaching 3rd and 4th grade (2 years of a 3rd / 4th split room, and then 5 years of 4th grade). Since transitioning from the classroom, I served as Harmony’s math coach for two years, as well as the Intervention Coordinator. I have spent the last six years as full-time Intervention Coordinator and interventionist. I have loved this opportunity to work more closely with the teachers, as well as working more closely with students in small-group settings, helping them achieve their individual, academic goals.

While I was not born in Kentucky, my family moved here when I was still very young and I have called Oldham County my home for over thirty years now. I loved growing up in this community and am honored that I am now able to serve and give back to the same community that helped shape who I am. My husband and I celebrated 15 years of marriage this year. We have three children: 9-year old twin boys and a 6-year old daughter. You can find us outside in our free time - riding bikes, running, playing baseball, or curled up reading!

It is an honor being part of Harmony’s community and I’m looking forward to another year serving our Huskies and staff.
