Meet our School Counselor

Hello, Harmony Elementary!

My name is Emily Amstutz, and I am honored to be your school counselor. I’ve had the opportunity to support students and families in our community since 2021. Before joining Harmony, I served as a Behavior Interventionist at North Oldham Middle School and spent three years teaching in their math department.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Middle Level Education from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.

When I’m not at school, my husband and I enjoy traveling, spending time with our family and friends, and being outside whenever we can. 

At Harmony, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where every student feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive. I help students navigate challenges and transitions, regulate emotions, and discover their unique strengths. This support comes through whole-class guidance lessons centered on PurposeFULL People character traits, small group instruction, and individual, solution-focused brief counseling. This work is rooted in the goal of helping students feel respected, capable, and ready to succeed- both in school and beyond.
